High School Preparation for Rhetoric Online Course

This accelerated introductory writing course prepares high school students for higher writing courses giving them the fundamentals of grammar, usage, punctuation, and writing mechanics. During the first semester, the student will analyze and practice these skills in a series of exercises, meanwhile they will learn the building blocks of invention and arrangement. The second semester is devoted to applying their new skills to the four types of composition.

As the eighth grade homeroom teacher, I enjoy the challenge of preparing students for their high school studies, not only with the study of grammar and algebra prerequisites, but also with the development of their work ethic, responsibility, and passion for learning that are so important for growth in high school.

Ideal for those looking to supplement their education, the single course option allows students to enroll in individual classes. They also receive academic advising and can participate in Catechism classes and student clubs.
