What does QAS Flex offer?

How is QAS Flex different from joining the classes live?

Will my child have a chance to form friendships if he is watching the classes on his own schedule?

Yes. QAS Flex students have a scheduled weekly meet-up with their teacher and peers. In addition, the Ultimate Package allows students to join up to three clubs. Each club meets weekly to work together on their projects.

What is the parent's role? Does the parent need to teach lessons or grade?

The teaching Sister is the primary educator and provides all content, instruction, and grading. However, the parent plays an important role in ensuring their child’s success.

  1. Support and Motivation: Parents provide the motivational support needed for students to engage fully with their studies.

  2. Environment Setup: It’s up to the parent to ensure that there is a conducive learning environment at home that is quiet and comfortable for study.

  3. Schedule Management: While the program offers flexibility, parents help manage and oversee the student’s daily or weekly schedule to ensure that coursework is completed on time. For the QAS Flex student, the schedule is parent-driven.

What if my child is having trouble understanding concepts or keeping up with the course work?

Daily access to a virtual tutor ensures that parents have support on hand to help their children overcome academic challenges quickly.

What its like to study at the Queen of All Saints Academy

Our Middle School Program

The Middle School program at Queen of All Saints Academy serves students in grades 5 through 8, typically ages 10 to 14. This period is focused on fostering essential academic skills and a comprehensive understanding of core subjects.

Building Strong Individuals

Over four years, our Middle School focuses on the personal development of each student. We emphasize the cultivation of critical thinking, effective communication, and a strong work ethic.

Rigorous Curriculum

Middle School students engage in the QAS Classical curriculum that includes English composition and literature, Latin grammar and reading, mathematics, history, geography, science, and Christian doctrine.

How we keep children engaged

Active Participation

We emphasize active participation throughout the class recordings. Coded checkpoints will require the student to respond to the teacher’s questions before continuing the class recording. Instant feedback to the student’s response alert the student to their mastery. Class discussion is open daily for virtual tutor support. Assignments are graded upon submission and the grades logged in the parent and student portal.

Customized Learning

Having students actively participating during the class recordings ensures that teachers customize learning to meeting different needs and address misconceptions when they arise.

Tech-Enhanced Education

Incorporating specialized technology, such as tablets and interactive video platforms, makes lessons flexible and accessible.

Real-World Projects

Students engage in project-based learning, working on real-world problems that make learning relevant and more easily applicable to life after school.

Diverse Extracurriculars

A wide range of clubs, sports, and arts programs provide opportunities for students to explore interests, develop new skills, and stay engaged, ensuring a well-rounded education for all students, regardless of their learning environment.

Comprehensive Middle School Curriculum

Our middle school program is tailored to provide students with a strong foundation in core academic areas, preparing them for future educational success.
