Campus Chess Club

The Chess Club challenges students to sharpen their minds through strategy and problem-solving. Members will learn new techniques, practice with one another, and study classic games to improve their play. Students will also enjoy friendly competition in matches and mini-tournaments, building both skill and sportsmanship.

This Chess Club is for QAS campus boys in grades 3-8. It meets biweekly at the Spring Lake Campus, 3:45 – 4:30 pm. Online students should enroll in the other Chess option.

Terms & Conditions

The club activities are monitored and run by the club president who will be a teacher, high school student or alumni volunteer that exhibits leadership skills and experience in the given interest. Any student who is reported to be using improper language or indecent conversation will be removed from the club. A student who is failing in any given academic will be temporarily suspended from club activities until the academics are remedied. Clubs are initiated pending 4+ student sign-ups. Upon initiation, the club members will receive an invite in Canvas to join the club. Upon accepting invite, the student will have access to details for joining the club meetings.
